Tyler has been my personal trainer for nearly a decade, and the journey I’ve embarked upon with him is nothing short of transformative. When we first started, he took the time to understand my personal goals, strengths, and areas of concern. From there, he meticulously tailored a training plan that was unique to my needs. What I particularly value is his balanced approach—consistently challenging me to reach new heights while ensuring I never push beyond my limits.
We started training with Tyler in 2016 at the Bellevue Club. When the local governments imposed lockdowns in 2020, we moved to virtual training sessions, still twice a week. Tyler understands so much about the body and how to make you work yourself to the utmost. He keeps us feeling and working to our best capabilities.
Tyler has been my trainer for 10 years. I started strength training at age 48, and had never weight lifted before. My goals were to lose 10 lbs and to be active with my kids. Two 30 minute sessions a week soon evolved to 5 one hour-long sessions a week. My goals have evolved, and Tyler brings me along safely and consistently. It is so much fun!
Tyler has been my trainer for over 5 years. When I first started with him my goal was to "lose weight". My goal now is to "live healthy". Through my partnership with Tyler I've learned about creating an overall healthy lifestyle that lasts vs. short term goals. I'm stronger, have more energy, have a healthier attitude about food, and can achieve my goals. When covid hit we transitioned to FaceTime and didn't miss a beat, we even brought in my husband and now we train together.
About eight years ago, I realized that my focus on work was causing me to neglect other areas of my life like my physical health. Since then, I have been working with Tyler Greer at Shape and Strength. He really understands human physiology, and tailors different exercises to meet your needs as your body changes. It's been a process, and it helps to not only have someone committed to your success in your corner, but who allows you to change at your own pace.
